Dan applies Puretch film and becomes immediately confused

Today I began my experiments now that Christmas madness is over at the studio!

Today was dedicated to the task of adhering Puretch film to my 2 x 2 inch .040 copper plates. I cleaned with Ajax and brightened with salt/vinegar and degreased with Purple Power. I rough cut my Puretch film and successfully peeled away one of the plastic films. I immediately was confused as to which piece was the remaining film with the emulsion. After watching the uTube video on the Cape Fear Press website, I realized that I wanted to use the side with the "purple haze." I kept track of which side was the inner emulsion and applied using the de-ionized water and squeegee technique. I dried with a hairdryer and stored the plates away in a light tight box as I was out of time to continue.
